Hike Description

Our adventure begins with a scenic 40-minute drive from Stavanger, including a journey 292 meters beneath the fjord. We arrive at the trailhead in the heart of the Ryfylke Mountains, ready to begin our private guided hike through one of Norway’s most stunning and lesser-known landscapes.

After a short safety briefing covering trail conditions and gear, we set off into a rugged yet peaceful terrain, surrounded by pine forests, mountain views, and the fresh air of the Norwegian wilderness — a perfect escape from the crowds near Lysefjord.

We usually take the direct route along the fjordside, offering a more adventurous and exposed hiking experience near Lysefjord. This scenic yet challenging trail features steep sections, short ladder climbs, and a bit of hands-on scrambling — perfect for those seeking a guided hike in Norway with a touch of adrenaline.

While physically demanding at times, no ropes or climbing gear are required. All you need is good balance, sturdy hiking shoes, and a sense of adventure. This route is a favorite among hikers looking for a unique and exciting alternative to more crowded trails near Stavanger.
