Hike Description
About 40 minutes from the pick-up point, our journey ends at the parking area, with the final stretch offering stunning scenery—perfect for a quick photo stop.
Before setting off, we conduct an equipment check and provide a brief but essential safety briefing, covering trail details, expected conditions, and useful hiking tips.
The hike begins with a 30-minute walk along a construction road, leading us to the tranquil Trodlabergtjørn. From here, we leave the road behind and follow a scenic trail toward the enchanting Storatjørn. As we wind along the mountain’s edge, we traverse rocky sections through forested terrain before beginning our ascent.

The ascent, though occasionally steep and rocky, becomes an enjoyable challenge when taken at a steady pace. Along the way, we pause by a serene mountain lake—an ideal spot for a short break with refreshments. For those feeling adventurous, a refreshing dip in the crystal-clear water offers an invigorating experience.
Recharged, we continue toward the summit, where a distinctive cairn marks our achievement. Here, breathtaking panoramic views unfold, inviting us to relax, soak in the scenery, and capture unforgettable moments through photography.

The descent leads us toward Rasmustjørna, revealing a vast, open landscape framed by rugged rock formations. Along the way, breathtaking views unfold, including the entrance to Lysefjorden and the scenic Forsand area across Høgsfjorden. Following the trail along the lake’s southern side, we navigate through forested and steep slopes into the valley, where another tranquil waterbody invites those eager for a refreshing swim.
Continuing past small tarns and moss-covered scree, we eventually reconnect with the construction road. From here, we enjoy a peaceful walk back, reflecting on a rewarding adventure filled with stunning scenery and unforgettable moments.
